Nutrition Label Generator is built so that your recipes and data never leave your device.
What we collect
Nothing. The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. Specifically:
- The ingredients, amounts, serving sizes, and nutrition values you enter are processed entirely inside your browser and are never uploaded anywhere.
- The ingredient nutrition database is bundled inside the extension; searches need no server and no API.
- The Nutrition Facts image you download is generated locally in your browser.
- The extension does not use analytics, tracking, cookies, advertising, or fingerprinting. This website uses privacy-friendly, cookieless, anonymous page-view analytics (self-hosted Umami) — no personal data, no cookies, no cross-site tracking.
- The extension makes no network requests of any kind. There is no server, no database, and no account.
How your data is processed
All calculations — nutrient totals, per-serving math, % Daily Values, and label rendering — run locally in your browser using bundled code and a bundled dataset. When you close the tab, nothing is retained by us.
Permissions
The extension requests no host permissions and no access to your browsing data. Clicking the toolbar icon opens the generator in a new tab.
Data attribution
Ingredient nutrition values come from USDA FoodData Central (U.S. Department of Agriculture), a public-domain dataset of the U.S. federal government, bundled offline inside the extension. Nutrition values are estimates for informational purposes; verify final values before regulated commercial use.
Third parties
None. No data is shared with any third party because no data is collected.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same location with a new effective date.
